The speaker talks with a lot of firmness which doesn’t let you overthink too much what she is saying. Also she makes a lot of comparisons so you can truly understand that is completely normal and nothing to be a shame. But the thing that makes this speech different is the jokes and the visuals that she uses. Because those things keep the listener from getting bored.

She basically said she hoped we got to ageism because longevity is there to stay so instead of hiding, enjoy it and be free.

I do agree with her there’s nothing to be ashamed of being old. But we do have to agree on the fact that there’s certain things that are for older people. Which is nothing bad but I think there’s a category that is never going to be erased so that’s why I would like for people to start embracing that being old is more joyful and less awkward for everyone. Overall, the thing that impacts me the most is the confidence I really appreciate in a person. So when she started talking about ageism and how her body is changing, it impacted me because she didn’t get sad about it, she was smiling and genuinely happy about it.
